Bad bloggers

So, we're bad bloggers. 1 update a month...not so great compared to some other blogs that we check daily. Anyway...we were in Sioux Falls this weekend for the 4th. Kaelin didn't sleep on the way there and Dayne hardly slept on the way back. Makes the trips "oh so enjoyable". Thank goodness for books, cars, drinks and the neighbors portable DVD player. It took the whole 3 1/2 hour trip to get through Aladdin. Oh well...
Dayne turned 1 last Tuesday. He LOVED his cake...went straight from the high chair to the bathtub, with Sonoma doing her job of cleaning up the high chair. It was spotless when we got back down. He's a very active little guy...not walking exclusively, but will take a few steps b4 falling down to move more quickly to his destination (usually where Kaelin is). He has this nasty little habit of holding his breath when he's really angry...anything can bring it on. Being tired, not getting his way, something being taken away from him. Anyway, he has held his breath so long that he's passed out. I read about it in the baby book. It occurs to 1 in 5 kids and they usually outgrow it. He doesn't hold his breath long enough to do any permanent damage. It says to avoid the situations that cause it...which is usually him being tired, thirsty, hungry, angry, etc. He will definitely be our challenging child.
Kaelin told Jeff the other day that he has white in his hair. Guess we'll be getting a box of hair dye, soon.
We'll try and be better about blogging and the antics of our lives.
